Frank Grillo Talks About Crossbones Possible Return in Captain America: Civil War. It’s been teased for months, but Frank Grillo remains optimistic that he would return to play villain Crossbones in the upcoming film Captain America: Civil War.

Speaking with EW, Frank Grillo said that he’s ready to get back into the action once Captain America: Civil War starts shooting. [Winter Soldier] was only a taste of what’s to come with the next film, and I couldn’t be more humbled and excited,” Grillo said.

Frank was asked if he was still in shape to film Captain America’s next solo film, which is a sign that we might be seeing Crossbones on screen again. “They just kind of called and said, ‘What kind of shape are you in? We’re going to need a body scan.’ They scan your body so that whatever you wear fits you like a glove…We all know what Crossbones represents in his world, so when they called me and said we gotta do the body scan, I was like ‘Okay!’”

Frank’s Brock Rumlow isn’t the only Marvel character to return as Robert Downey Jr. is also set to reprise his role as Tony Stark. Jeremy Renner is also rumored to make an appearance in the film with new additions Daniel Bruhl in a villainous role and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Captain America: Civil War, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, will be released on May 6, 2016. So are you guys ready for the return of Crossbones?
