DARK SHADOWS (2012): Eva Green joins Johnny Depp, Tim Burton

Eva Green is joining Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows (2012) along side Johnny Depp. Eva Green will play Angelique, “a character who engaged in a love-hate relationship with [vampire] Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) and is also a very powerful witch.” Lara Parker played the Angelique role in previous incarnations of Dark Shadows. Though Eva Green is a Paris-born actress working in Hollywood, signed to UTA, and repped by UK-based Tavistock Wood, the background of Dark Shadows is even more diverse. Dark Shadows was originally a daytime horror serial that ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971, logging over 1200 episodes filled with ghosts, ghouls, vampires, zombies, werewolves, parallel universes, and time-paradoxes.” The TV Series is currently available in multiple DVD collections. Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcote are also rumored to be circling roles in the film adaptation. Film production on Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows is scheduled to begin in sometime in April and will hit theaters in 2012. What do you think of Eva Green joining Dark Shadows?
