The Dunes co-producer Mem Ferda (London Heist, Smoking Guns) had this to say about the film: “this film is of such importance, in spreading awareness and educating the public about the vulnerabilities of addiction. I myself lost a dear friend to addiction and feel this delicately woven story will highlight and educate about the dangers as well as entertain.”

Martin Copping wrote the script for The Dunes and also co-produced the film. Chris Ekstein was the cinematographer on the film.
