Emmy Awards 2016 Winners

American Crime Story, Game of Thrones, Veep, and the other winners for the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced. American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson was the big winner at the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The FX TV series won five awards last night including Outstanding Limited Series. The HBO TV series Game of Thrones won for Outstanding Drama Series. If you saw the last episode of Season 6 of Game of Thrones, this win comes as no surprise. Game of Thrones won three Emmy awards last night. HBO comedy series Veep won for Outstanding Comedy Series. Veep, in total, won two awards last night.

The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards “often referred to simply as the Emmy, is a television production award, similar in nature to the Peabody Awards but more focused on entertainment, and is considered the television equivalent to the Academy Awards (for film), Grammy Awards (for music) and Tony Awards (for stage).”
