ENCOUNTERS (2014) Movie Trailer 2: The Woods Have a Secret in Danish Found-Footage Horror

Encounters

Encounters Movie Trailer 2. Anders Johannes Bukh‘s Encounters(2014) movie trailer stars Kristian Fjord, Jacob Wagner Guldager, Casper Sloth, Signe Mathilde Sørensen, and Claus VedelEncounters‘ plot synopsis: “The woods have a secret.”

At first, the direct-to-camera speech is off-putting, as it looks like a primitive take on the Anonymous group. Then, however, as we’re introduced to the premise and go deep into the woods with these characters, the voice becomes unsettling, and I’m drawn deeper into this premise. What did they find? What is Encounters actually about? I absolutely love the minimalism of this trailer – hell, even the plot synopsis – and am glad I know nothing else about this film. I’ll keep it that way, too, before seeing it.

The score, here, is exciting, as well. It’s not the usual horror flick loudness, but more of a pulsating electronic signal that seems to tie in with whatever that mechanical construction at the end is.

I, for one, am intrigued. I’ll gladly watch this and hope for the best, as is always the case with independent horror films.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
