TV show trailer for CBS‘ Extant episode Cracking the Code. Molly (Halle Berry), fresh off her latest Farscape family reunion, and inadvertently shooting her boss, gets the worst kind of punishment for her weakness.

She gets promoted to viral genocide duty.

Certainly, we are not meant to dwell on the likelihood of Molly (or anyone, for that matter) coming up with a pathogen that behaves strictly in accordance to our wishes (that only works for disguised space reptile invasions, from the 80s); no, the episode will most certainly focus on Molly’s messiah vs maternal crisis.

Mad Molly cracks under the pressure, of course, leaving JD (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) with the kind of handful some viewers might actually wish for themselves.

In other news, Extant is moving up an hour, to the 9 pm timeslot. Read into that what you will.
