Vin Diesel Reflects on Fast Forever Script

Vin Diesel is highly praising the script of the upcoming last Fast movie and suggesting that people will enjoy seeing the re-release of the first film in theaters this month.

The 11th and final film in The Fast and the Furious saga will be released March 17. 2028. It will be tilted Fast Forever, and its star, Vin Diesel, is genuinely excited about the script. Louis Leterrier is set to direct the upcoming project, according to IMDb which states the movie will feature Jason Momoa, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, alongside Diesel and other returning stars.

Diesel went on to say the new script for Fast Forever is the best script that he’s read in decades. Diesel, known for his overly kind remarks about a series which is good, but certainly not exceptional, seems full of joy when expressing his opinion over the screenplay for the 11th Fast picture. Diesel plays Dominic Toretto, yet again, in a movie sequel that has previously said it would bring back Paul Walker’s Brian into the mix, perhaps via CGI. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, but Diesel was the one who mentioned that possibility in previous articles at other outlets.

It was stated by Diesel that he was “still crying” from reading the script for the eleventh movie in the series that seems to be still full of gas these days, judging from the decent Fast X from 2023. Meanwhile, on August 21st this summer, the re-release of The Fast and the Furious, the original movie in the series, will hit theaters for its 25th anniversary. Diesel says viewers will “thank God” they saw it in theaters when they see Fast Forever when it is released on March 17, 2028. The first film was objectively fairly good, but it didn’t have the large budget that the later movies went on to have.

Though Diesel has always been optimistic, his comments regarding the Fast movies haven’t always been 100% true. He hyped up Fast X which was a moderate success in North America and Canada, but it made most of its money overseas where action pictures from the States sometimes play to a bigger audience.

There’s nothing wrong with Diesel’s enthusiasm, but the actor isn’t always the most reliable source of information if you’re looking to truly know if the script is really capable of being “the best script” and securing an Oscar nomination in the writing department. Anything can happen, but, for now, let’s just think Diesel’s hyping up a good script as the best to boost ticket sales for the 2001 original movie re-release.
