FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: Web Series to Bring in a New Character [AMC]

Fear The Walking Dead Webisode

Fear The Walking Dead Creating a Webseries to Introduce a New Character. AMC has big plans set for the second season of Fear The Walking Dead before it’s first one ends. One of those plans is introducing a new character in a web series before crossing over to the second season.

EW first reported that the stand-alone half-hour special would be released online first before being shown during commercial breaks for The Walking Dead later this year. The new web series would take place on an airplane during the zombie outbreak. During the special, only one of the characters will survive and then appear in the companion series during the second season next year. It will be interesting to see zombies on a plane after the monster hit introduced viewers to different environments where one can encounter zombies. There aren’t any other details about the special, but our guess is that the plane is probably heading to LA, which is where Fear The Walking Dead takes place.

This isn’t the first time that AMC has used webisodes for a TV series, but it will be the first time that this format would be used to introduce a character who would appear in the television series set in that same universe. It would also be the first time that these webisodes would air on television.

So what do you all think? Would you be tuning into the webseries when it gets released online or during The Walking Dead? Do you like the idea of having a character from the webseries crossing over into Fear The Walking Dead?
