Universal Pictures has debuted the official second movie trailer, extended movie trailer, and movie TV commercials for Fifty Shades Darker (2017).

The second movie trailer for Fifty Shades Darker has opened the world of Fifty Shades of Grey far more so than the previous trailer. Some new characters are shown but don’t speak while other are introduced that bring into the narratives undisclosed elements of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)’s past.

Most interesting was shadowy past love interest that seems to be breaking into apartments to stare at slumbering Christian Grey and Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson).

The extended trailer for Fifty Shades Darker, two minutes long, features almost all of the footage from the previous trailer but additional new footage. The most notable of that new footage is Leila Williams (Bella Heathcote), what she says, and what she seem to do in the closing moments of the trailer. It was quite surprising. Obviously the NDA that Williams signed meant she couldn’t talk about her past relationship with Grey publicly. That didn’t seem to stop her from obsessing over him.

Fifty Shades Darker‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by E.L. James, “Expanding upon events set in motion in 2015’s blockbuster film…when a wounded Christian Grey tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.”

James Foley‘s Fifty Shades Darker also stars Tyler Hoechlin, Kim Basinger, Hugh Dancy, Eric Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, and Marcia Gay Harden.
