The Batman

Matt Reeves explains comments he made about The Batman‘s relationship to the DC Extended Universe.  This week, the director seemed to indicate that the movie would have no ties to the larger DC superhero film franchise, saying that he was initially approached about doing a standalone movie. However, Reeves stated that he meant that the film will not feature characters or plot elements from the DCEU’s other properties, not that it would take place in its own continuity.

The Joker

Reports claim that Warner Bros.’ rumored Joker movie will take the place of Gotham City Sirens in the DC Extended Universe. As with most stories concerning the blockbuster superhero franchise, it’s best to take this story with a grain of salt until confirmation from Warner Bros. or DC comes.

Starsky & Hutch

James Gunn is in the midst of developing a Starsky & Hutch reboot for TV.

Jumper

Jamie Bell and Julian Simpson are working on adapting Bell’s 2008 science fiction film Jumper as a TV series with the actor potentially reprising his role.

Mr. Roosevelt

Paladin has obtained the rights to the Noel Wells’ comedy Mr. Roosevelt.

Reggie Peralta

**** We hired Reggie, fulfilled our obligations to him, and he quit in the middle of covering two TV series w/ no notice and no explanation. He then ignored our emails asking him to complete his coverage (we had no one else to cover those TV shows). He didn't care. We regret hiring him and we regret putting our trust in him. **** An aspiring writer, longtime film junkie, and former UCLARadio.com disc jockey (where I graduated with a BA in Political Science), I've made the jump from penning book reviews and current events editorials for HonorSociety.org to writing movie and TV news and reviews. When I'm not working towards my certificate in Radio and Television/Video Production at Fullerton College, I enjoy reading (horror, science fiction, and historical/political nonfiction are particular favorites), participating in my school's TV and theatre clubs, attending movie screenings, plays, concerts, and other events, and trying to come up with pithy things to say on social media. Believe it or not, there are occasions where I find time to write for my own leisure.
