Though only a pilot episode was initially ordered, HBO has skipped pilot phase or the pilot was completed and they liked what they saw, and have given the superhero TV series a full season order. The Damon Lindelof-written Watchmen TV series may premiere in 2019.

True Detective: Season 3 Has Finished Filming

Production on the third season of True Detective has come to a conclusion in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Bourne Identity Spin-off Full TV Season Ordered

A Jason Bourne / Bourne Identity TV series entitled Treadstone has been ordered by USA.

Treadstone‘s plot synopsis: “Treadstone explores the origin story and present-day actions of a CIA black ops program known as Treadstone, a covert operation that uses behavior modification protocol to turn its agents into nearly unstoppable superhuman assassins. Jason Bourne, the central character in Universal Pictures’ Bourne film franchise, was a product of the program. The series follows new sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions.

Ramin Bahrani will direct the pilot episode. Tim Kring will write the screenplays for the series.

Shooter Cancelled and Shopped to Other Networks

USA has cancelled Shooter after three seasons. “The cancellation comes after a steep drop in ratings, with the show’s third season averaging currently a 0.2 rating in adults 18-49 and 738,000 viewers per episode.” The show could end at Paramount Network.

The Tommyknockers Situation Cleared Up

James Wan is not directing The Tommyknockers remake film. Wan is producing the film with Jeremy Slater writing the screenplay for the film.

Sexy Beast TV Series Prequel Being Developed

The origins of the three main characters from the film Sexy Beast will be explored in the currently developing prequel TV series. The characters in question are: Don Logan, Gal Dove, and Teddy Bass.

The proposed prequel will be set in the ’90s when Gal and Don were partners working for Teddy. Deadline’s description of the series suggests that Gal will meet his future wife, DeeDee, while “descending into the seductive madness of the London criminal world during the vibrant and volatile 1990’s.”

Outlander: Season 4 Premiere Date Announced

Season 4 of Outlander will premiere on Starz on November 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
