HBO has released the official runtimes and air dates for all six episodes of Season 8 of Game of Thrones. The first three episode runtimes for Season 8 were not surprising. They are at or around an hour, the normal runtime for a long form TV episode on an American premium cable and satellite television network.

The last three episodes of Game of Thrones: Season 8 is where the surprise comes in. Game of Thrones: Season 8, Episode 4 is 78 minutes long, Episode 5 is 80 minutes, and Episode 6 is 80 minutes long.
