George Clooney Annette Bening In Love Movie New

It has been a busy and buzzy year for the Hollywood stalwart George Clooney. He generated huge buzz and box office receipts for his Tony-nominated run as Edward R. Murrow in Good Night, and Good Luck on Broadway (and a filmed TV version on HBO) and his lead in Jay Kelly. Jay Kelly, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and has garnered Oscar buzz. It looks like he isn’t finished yet!

Weitz recently spoke glowingly about the source material: “Amy’s memoir is a contemporary fable of love, wit, and existential stakes. I can’t wait to do it justice with this amazing cast,” says Weitz.

The film is described as a modern love story in which a couple is faced with an impossible decision that will honor their long-lasting commitment to each other.

In Love was developed by Julia Lebedev and Eddie Vaisman, who are producing the project for Sight Unseen. Clooney is also taking on producing duties with Grant Heslov for Smokehouse Pictures; Weitz and Andrew Miano are producing for Depth of Field and Sebastian Raybaud will produce for Anton.

It can be tricky when Hollywood grabs ahold of your material, but Bloom had nothing but glowing things to say about the process: “I have been so lucky to work with Eddie and Julie, so lucky to write with Paul and so grateful that this story of lasting love gets to be told on the screen, in Paul’s gifted hands, by two of the greatest actors in America,” Bloom said.

Bening will also be appearing in Maggie Gylenhaal’s highly anticipated new film, The Bride, opposite Jessie Buckley, Christian Bale, and Peter Sarsgaard.
