Simon CurtisGoodbye Christopher Robin (2017) movie trailer stars Margot Robbie, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Macdonald, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Alex Lawther. Goodbye Christopher Robin‘s plot synopsis: “GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?”

Goodbye Christopher Robin could have been easily have been a forgettable drama about the creative mind behind Winnie the Pooh. It isn’t. Goodbye Christopher Robin looks like a very interesting film about warfare, what that did to the mental state of A. A. Milne, how he saw the world, and what he hoped to achieve as a result of it.

Watching A.A. Milne heal and change as he created Winnie the Pooh and fame struck him and his son seems to be one of the film’s strengths and weakness. Fame corrupting and changing someone or a situation for the worse is something common that the viewer has seen in previous film. It is A.A. Milne’s situations, throughout it all, that are the most striking.

Goodbye Christopher Robin also stars Stephen Campbell Moore, Geraldine Somerville, Nico Mirallegro, Simon Williams, Honey Holmes, Richard McCabe, Shaun Dingwall, and Richard Dixon.
