Benedict Samuel to Play The Mad Hatter on Gotham. Gotham is bringing out the crazy next season when The Mad Hatter makes his presence in the famed city. It’s announced that The Walking Deads Benedict Samuel will be playing the classic Batman villain during the new season.

According to TVLine, the Fox hit series has added Benedict Samuel to the cast of Gotham in the role of Jervis Tetch, whose also known by his villainous name The Mad Hatter. The network described their version of the character as “a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness. He arrives in Gotham with an unwavering desire to find his sister, Alice, a young woman who went missing in the city years ago.” Audiences may remember Samuels during his run on The Walking Dead last season as Owen, one of the wolves who attacked Alexandria.

The Mad Hatter is one of many villains that Gotham is including in it’s third season which will also feature the likes of Solomon Grundy, The Court of Owls, and a grown-up Poison Ivy.
