Howard The Duck ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ Comic Book Sequel Green-lit. There is good news for any Howard the Duck fans that may be looming around. Marvel Entertainment recently announced that the second issue of the new Howard the Duck comic series would feature the story of how the character ended up with the Collector, Or to be more precise, how the Collector ended up with Howard the Duck.

The issue, written by Chip Zdarsky, and with Joe Quinones doing the artwork, is set for an April release. The issue will also feature Rocket Raccoon, and fellow guardians Gamora, Star-Lord, and Groot. This is likely to be the first comic book sequel to a post credits film scene.

 The cover itself (above) features the Guardians taking a selfie with Howard, and off course, making a ‘duck face’.

The new series is the first open-ended series for the character of Howard since the height of his fame in the 1970’s.

Elsewhere in the Marvel Universe, it was recently announced that the comic book prologue to the Avenger’s sequel will be titled Avengers: Operation Hydra. The prologue will see the team take on a secret HYDRA splinter cell.
