Netflix‘s The Haunting of Hill House (2018) TV show trailer stars Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, and Kate Siegel. The Haunting of Hill House‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Shirley Jackson, “The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s legendary novel of the same name, about five siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America. Now adults, they’re reunited by the suicide of their youngest sister, which forces them to finally confront the ghosts of their own pasts … some which lurk in their minds … and some which may really be lurking in the shadows of the iconic Hill House.”

This TV series looks to be excellent. I loved the stories the two children tell their mother about what is going to happen to their future selves. The fact that the children could see their emotionally scarred adult versions was harrowing (I look forward to seeing the full scene for this moment in the series). Carla Gugino’s response to what she was hearing made it even better.

Mike Flanagan‘s The Haunting of Hill House also stars Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, Mckenna Grace, Lulu Wilson, Violet McGraw, Julian Hilliard, and Paxton Singleton.

Mike Flanagan and Meredith Averill wrote the the screenplays for the episodes.
