Marvel’s Inhumans Trailer

ABC‘s Inhuman (2017) TV show trailer stars Anson Mount, Serinda Swan, Iwan Rheon, Ken Leung, and Isabelle Cornish. Inhumans‘ plot synopsis: “Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.”

I liked the majority of what I saw in this trailer. The one moment that bothered me was the part with the dog. When you see it, you will know what I mean. The writers should have thought of a better way to get Black Bolt (Anson Mount) out of that situation instead of using that dog. It was goofy. Twilight goofy. Do you remember how bad the CGI was for the giant wolves in The Twilight Saga and the mutant dogs in Ang Lee‘s Hulk? It’s that bad for the dog and the dog moment in this Inhumans trailer.

Maximus (Iwan Rheon)’s betrayal of Black Bolt the viewer knew was coming from the TV spot and other media released for Inhumans. From his bio, the viewer knew that Black Bolt had been extensively trained not to utter a sound, not even in his sleep. I’m guessing his training didn’t include being struck violently.

Like Agents of Shield, I will give Inhumans a chance and watch the first few episodes with an open mind.
