IRON FIST: TV Series to Feature Kung Fu Master Shang-Chi [Netflix]

Shang-Chi to Appear in Netflix’s Iron Fist. Netflix and Marvel are already starting to work on Iron Fist after casting Finn Jones as Danny Rand, being portrayed as white rather than Asian, disappointing some fans. However, the show may get an Asian character in the form of Shang-Chi.

With Iron Fist coming to the small screen, it’s only a matter of time before Marvel gets some prominent characters from the comics so it’s good that we are getting the Master of Kung Fu himself, Shang-Chi. MCU Exhange and That Hashtag Show finally confirmed that the comic book martial artist would be appearing in the upcoming series. According to them, the Master of Kung Fu will be introduced at some point in the series.

Over the years, Shang-Chi has been a popular character, teaming up with Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and recently The Avengers. He also played a big role in the Daredevil storyline Shadowland, which may become a part of the upcoming The Defenders miniseries. So casting has begun for an Asian male to play the role.
