Daredevil Agent Carter Agents of SHIELD

Jeph Loeb Discusses How Many Marvel Show Are Being Made. Marvel has a huge slate of TV shows across different platforms both on TV and on the web. So how many Marvel TV shows do we have now and in the near future? Well, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb seems to know the answer.

During the NTC premiere of Daredevil’s second season, Marvel Head of Television Jeph Loeb talked briefly (via ComicBook) about the growing slate of programming for Marvel that’s available now and in development. Here’s what the man had to say:

It never stops.  We have, in one way or the other, there’s nine or ten shows that are going.  They’re going on in my brain. The idea is, much like when I was doing television and writing comics at the same time, it’s about telling stories, and making sure we are telling the best stories that we can.  I’m not there alone, I’ve got people like Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley, and Alan Fine at Marvel, incredible showrunners, incredible writers, Jim Chory, who’s my head of production and can make all of these things happen.  It’s having a team around you to be able to do exactly what you’re saying, which is not just live here, but live ten months in the future and know what we’re doing not just now but a year from now.

It sounds like Marvel is giving DC a run for their money since DC has been commanding the TV spectrum for a while, but now Marvel has some shows coming that may outnumber their competition. Marvel has pretty much covered base with shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, Daredevil on Netflix, and even some animated ones like Avengers Assemble on Disney XD. The future is certainly looking bright for Marvel television. What do you guys think?
