Luz Trailers

Tilman Singer‘s Luz (2018) teaser trailers stars Luana Velis, Jan Bluthardt, Julia Riedler, Johannes Benecke, and Nadja Stubiger. Luz‘s plot synopsis: “A rainy night. A dazed and numb young cabdriver, Luz, drags herself into the brightly lit entrance of a rundown police station. Across town in a nightspot, a woman seductively engages a police psychiatrist in a mysterious conversation. Later, supervised by his colleagues, the doctor puts Luz in a state of hypnosis that initiates a series of flashbacks, unfolding the events leading to her arrival. Bit by bit, Luz’s unorthodox interrogation makes old memories and demons come to light.”

There are some trailers that you stop watching mid-way through because there is nothing there. It’s empty and the film that it is marketing is no doubt empty. Luv is the opposite. Just the throwback look and feel (shot in 16 mm) of this trailer is a welcome change from the high-gloss of most modern horror films and thrillers. The physical acting looks great as does the intense of male actor in the film.
