A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer Short Film. Leythum‘s Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer (2011) stars Clark Gregg, Zach Hudson, Jessica Manuel, and Jeff Prewett. Marvel One-Shot short films’ plot synopsis: “The idea is that these shorts help fill in some of the small gaps between the Iron Man films, The Incredible Hulk,Thor and The Avengers. They tell slight tales, and in fact this one doesn’t even do much to tie any of those movies together.”

Actor Clark Gregg certainly looked out with his part as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) in Iron Man. One role blossomed into parts and appearances in multiple high-end studio films. His camoes and the appearances at the end of each The Avengers film are the connective tissue between all the films. These S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson short films are another creative attempt to do that as well. Marvel One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer is being released on the Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-ray and DVD on October 25, 2011.
