Narcos: Season 3 Trailer
Netflix‘s Narcos: Season 3 TV show trailer stars Pedro Pascal, Damián Alcázar, Raymond Ablack, Alberto Ammann, and Michael Stahl-David. Narcos: Season 3’s plot synopsis: “The true story of Colombia’s infamously violent and powerful drug cartels fuels this gritty gangster drama series.”
The new chapter in Narcos TV series will be headlined by DEA agent Javier Pena (Pedro Pascal) as he works to take down the Cali Cartel. The Cali Cartel is led by Gilberto Orejuela (Damián Alcázar). Gilberto Orejuela, or one of his business partners, including Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann), have appeared in the previous seasons of Narcos.
It’s unclear if DEA agent Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), who was the lead protagonist in the first two seasons of Narcos, will appear in Season 3 of Narcos. From the way that this trailer is presented, my guess is that DEA agent Murphy will not be a central character. He will appear in flashbacks and might cameo but it seems that those forms will be it.
Season 1 and Season 2 of Narcos were compelling because the viewer not only got to see the rise and fall of a notorious criminal, the viewer got to know him and the people that worked for, hated, and hunted him as well.
That slate virtually gets wiped clean with Season 3 because so few characters from the first two seasons will be returning for the third season.
The strength of Narcos has always been is writing, acting, and the way that the plot evolved. That will not change with Narco: Season 3. Wagner Moura‘s wonderful performance as Pablo Escobar will be missed though.
