This January we have something for everyone, headlined by the coming-of-age Amazon Original movie The Tender Bar, directed by Academy Award® winner George Clooney, written by Academy Award® winner William Monahan, based on the Pulitzer Prize winning author J.R. Moehringer’s memoir “The Tender Bar,” produced by Academy Award winning producer Grant Heslov and Ted Hope and starring Academy Award® winner Ben Affleck, Tye Sheridan, Emmy Award winner Christopher Lloyd, Lily Rabe, and introducing Daniel Ranieri; Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, an Amazon Original movie and the final installment of the fan- favorite ‘Hotel Transylvania’ franchise; and a new season of Judy Justice featuring the Honorable Judy Sheindlin on IMDb TV, Amazon’s free streaming service.

The Tender Bar (2021) tells the story of J.R. (Tye Sheridan), a fatherless boy growing up in the glow of a bar where the bartender, his Uncle Charlie (Ben Affleck), is the sharpest and most colorful of an assortment of quirky and demonstrative father figures. As the boy’s determined mother (Lily Rabe) struggles to provide her son with opportunities denied to her — and leave the dilapidated home of her supportive father (Christopher Lloyd) — J.R. begins to pursue his romantic and professional dreams — with one foot persistently placed in Uncle Charlie’s bar.
