PARA ELISA (2015) Movie Trailer: Spanish Babysitter Horror

Para Elisa Trailer

Para Elisa Movie Trailer. Juanra Fernández‘s Para Elisa (2015) movie trailer stars Ana TurpinOna CasamiquelaLuisa Gavasa, and Jesús Caba. Para Elisa‘s plot synopsis: “Para Elisa is a terrifying story based on a simple, innocent children’s game. Something that looks naive and harmless turns into the worst nightmare, into the struggle to escape a tragic and expected end, into an explicit and inevitable horror.”

Though the film was finished years ago, Fernández’s film is only arriving to mass audiences this September. These things happen, as distribution and dealing with various corporate interests often finds the film at hand sitting on a shelf until each party has had their say, deals are worked out, etc. Fortunately, none of that seems to matter now, as the film itself looks wonderful. Once again, we have a basic babysitter premise. A girl needs money, she answers an ad, and Very Suddenly Before She Knows It – TERROR. I’ll definitely be watching this as soon as its available, as I’m a huge horror fan, and the babysitter trope is one I have deep respect for. It’s rarely done right, but when it is (such as in Ti West‘s The House of The Devil), it’s a delicious treat I wouldn’t want to pass up on.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, “Debuting writer-director Juanra Fernandez crafts a breathless horror with Para Elisa, a film that plays out with violent intensity and escalates to a nightmarish climax that will leave viewers asking if people are just things to be played with.”

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
