Epix‘s Pennyworth (2019) TV show teaser trailer stars Jack Bannon, Paloma Faith, Ben Aldridge, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, and Ryan Fletcher. Pennyworth‘s plot synopsis: “Set in 1960s London, Alfred is a former British SAS soldier who has started his own successful security company. He is eventually hired to work with a young billionaire industrialist named Thomas Wayne.”

This DC Comics series about the origins of Batman’s faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon) looks far better than I anticipating. The TV show has the feel of Steve Roger’s world at the beginning of Captain America: The First Avenger. I am looking forward to the seeing the relationship between Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and Alfred Pennyworth. I hope it becomes something noteworthy, like the relationship between Captain Flint and Quartermaster John Silver in Black Sails.

Pennyworth also stars Jessica Ellerby, Nicki Vickery, Ian Puleston-Davies, Jason Flemyng, and Polly Walker.
