Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has aired four new movie TV commercials for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). Two of the TV promos are international commercials for the upcoming Star Wars prequel film.

The largest theme running throughout all of these TV commercials is hope. Hope for the future of the galaxy and hope for the rebellion.

In these commercials, it is made clear that the rebels learn the true purpose of the Death Star, making of paramount importance their secret mission to discover its plans.

There are many new scenes in the TV commercials. Two of note being imperial TIE fighters launching in space and ground battles involving Storm Troopers.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s plot synopsis “In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.”
