The second international movie trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) has premiered. This movie trailer reveals new elements from Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones)’s past not seen in previous promos for this film. The new scenes have a lot to do with Jyn’s father and mother, most notably their relationship to each other.

Alluded to previously, the viewer actually gets to see the Deathstar test fire (on a potentially inhabited planet) in this trailer. The Deathstar is also referred to by its name in this trailer.

There is also Jyn’s desire to build a team to fight against the empire.

“We’ll take this chance, and the next chance, and the next. Until the chances are spent.”

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story‘s plot synopsis “In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.”
