Saturday Night Live cast members practice social distancing with a unique at home episode via Zoom straight from the comfort of their homes. The episode featured unique opening credits and several comedy segments all filmed from the homes of the cast members. Even though it wasn’t announced until hours before that the episode would be broadcasted live, viewers around the world still tuned in and watched the comedy sketch series. The episode reached 6.66 million overall viewers, making it it’s second highest rating of the season since its Christmas 2019 episode, which was hosted by Eddy Murphy with musical guest Lizzo.

The SNL At-Home episode featured surprise guest actor, Tom Hanks, who made his first tv appearance since his corona-virus diagnosis. He gave the introduction monologue, giving the audience an update on his and his wife’s current status following their diagnosis and explained the way the episode was being presented for this unique at home edition of the series during these unusual and uncertain times. The episode also included musical guest, Christ Martin, and a phone call cameo from Alec Baldwin, doing his infamous impersonation of Donald Trump.
