Stefano Sollima‘s Sicario 2: Soldado (2018) movie trailer stars Josh Brolin, Benicio Del Toro, Matthew Modine, Isabela Moner, and Jeffrey Donovan. Sicario 2: Soldado‘s plot synopsis: “In Sicario 2: Soldado, the drug war on the US-Mexico border has escalated as the cartels have begun trafficking terrorists across the US border. To fight the war, federal agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) reteams with the mercurial Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro).”

When I first saw Sicario, I thought it was okay but nothing special. Over time, that assessment has changed based on the film’s last thirty minutes. The follow-up film explores the most interesting part of the film, Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro).

Alejandro was let off of his CIA leash at the end of Sicario. In Sicario 2: Soldado, Alejandro seems to be unchained at the very beginning of the film.

Sicario 2: Soldado also stars Christopher Heyerdahl, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ian Bohen, Rachel de la Torre, Jake Picking, David Castaneda, Sharon Anne Henderson, Abigail Marlowe, and Bruno Bichir.
