Supergirl Takes Flight in First Trailer and First Photos. Supergirl is ready to make its debut this fall on CBS, and we have the official trailer for the new series. Get to see Melissa Benoist in action as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl as Supergirl makes it’s debut in November.

Based on the comic book character, Supergirl follows 24-year-old Kara Danvers who has hidden her powers similar to her famous cousin for over a decade since being brought up on Earth. The 12-year-old Kara heads for Earth with her parents’ help after the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Raised by the Danvers, Kara learns to keep her powers concealed from the world. After turning 24, Kara resides in National City working as an assistant for media mogul Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). Also working for Cat is the Daily Planet’s former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) who now works as the new art director. Kara’s powers are suddenly exposed after an impending disaster strikes. After the head of a super-secret agency Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) discovers Kara’s abilities, he enlists her help in saving the citizens of National City from outside threats. With the help of her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) and co-worker Winslow Schott (Jeremy Jordan), Kara manages to balance her life as a superhero and a regular gal.
