The CW‘s Supergirl: Season 4 TV show commercial entitled ‘American Alien’ has been released. The Supergirl TV spot features shots of Melissa Benoist in various action sequences as well as some newcomers like Nicole Maines and Sam Witwer.

Supergirl: Season 3’s plot synopsis: “Newcomers to Supergirl Season 3 include Odette Annable as DC Worldkiller Reign; Adrian Pasdar (Heroes, Colony, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Morgan Edge, a ruthless real estate developer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants (and what he feels he deserves). The DC villain’s big plans for National City instantly put him at odds with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath); Carl Lumbly (Alias, Southland, The Cure for Wellness) plays classic DC character M’yrnn J’onzz, the father of J’onn J’onnz, the Martian Manhunter (David Harewood). A pacifist religious leader on Mars, M’yrn pushes his son in unexpected ways; Yael Grobglas (Jane the Virgin, Reign) as DC character Psi, a psychic villain who uses people’s own minds against them. Psi’s agenda puts her on Supergirl’s radar, and their meeting will affect the Girl of Steel in surprising ways; and Emma Tremblay (Elysium, The Judge, The Giver, Wayward Pines) as Ruby, a smart, independently minded National City kid who’s fascinated by Supergirl and ends up in jeopardy because of it.”

Supergirl: Season 3 starred Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, Chris Wood, Katie McGrath, Carl Lumbly, Odette Annable, Adrian Pasdar, David Harewood, Yael Grobglas, and Emma Tremblay.

Supergirl: Season 4 cast additions include April Parker Jones and David Ajala.

This is whom these new actors will be portraying on Season 4 of Supergirl:

Nicole Maines, as Nia Nal, the newest addition to the CatCo reporting team. A soulful young transgender woman with a fierce drive to protect others, Nia’s journey this season means fulfilling her destiny as the superhero Dreamer (much like Kara came into her own as Supergirl).

April Parker Jones (Jericho, The Last Ship) as hardline career military woman Colonel Haley who lives and dies by the orders of her commanding officers. Dedicated to her country, she always acts in its best interest — even if it’s not her own.

Plus David Ajala (Doctor Who, Nightflyers) as Manchester Black, the type of guy who brings a knife to a gunfight and still walks away the winner. With a dark past, he easily deflects the brutality of his mission with his charm and sense of humor.
