TEEN TITANS: TNT Eyes Live-Action Superhero Pilot

Teen Titans Pilot Nearing Order at TNT. Another DC Comics property is about to head to the small screen as Warner Bros. are developing a pilot based on Teen Titans. Deadline reports that the series will be titled Titans and be made for TNT.

The superhero series will center on Dick Grayson, who becomes Nightwing after becoming sidekick Robin to Batman. Nightwing then gathers a band of young superheroes to form his own team in their fight against crime and villainy. The team will include Starfire, Raven, and many others. Screenwriters Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes will be writing the screenplay for the potential superhero series.

This news gets announced the same year that the Teen Titans comics celebrate its 50th anniversary. The team comprised of young superheroes with the roster changing quite a bit over the years. The Titans have been more popular with fans after the releases of the 2003 animated series and its recent comedic take on the team Teen Titans GO!

The potential live-action series is close to getting a pilot ordered by TNT, making this the first DC Comics adaptation to appear on cable. Titans is one of three pilots awaiting approval from TNT as the cable network is undergoing a new model. If Titans is picked up, it will join the likes of other series from the DC Universe like Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, and Constantine.
