THE BORGIAS: Season 3 TV Show Teaser Trailer: ‘Father, Son, Unholy Spirit’

Jeremy Irons The Borgias

The Borgias Season 3 Trailer. The Borgias: Season 3 TV show teaser trailer stars Holliday Graingerand, François Arnaud, Joanne Whalley, Jeremy Irons, and Lotte Verbeek. The Borgias’ plot synopsis: “Set in 15th century Italy at the height of the Renaissance, The Borgias chronicles the corrupt rise of patriarch Rodrigo Borgia (Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons) to the papacy, where he proceeds to commit every sin in the book to amass and retain power, influence and enormous wealth for himself and his family. The unbounded audacity of this original crime family went on to inspire Machiavelli’s The Prince and Mario Puzo’s The Godfather.”

This trailer has two big surprises. One they had to give away. There was probably no conceivable way to keep this person out of ads for the third season. The second surprise should have been saved for the series (never hinted at in commercials or trailers), like a similar situation was for the second season of Boardwalk Empire.
