The Borrower Arrietty (Kari-gurashi no Arietty) Teaser Trailer

Studio Ghlibi has released teaser trailer for The Borrower Arrietty (Kari-gurashi no Arietty). The Borrower Arrietty is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, written Hayao Miyazaki, and stars Ryûnosuke Kamiki, Kirin Kiki, and Mirai Shida. The Borrower Arrietty‘ plot synopsis: based on Mary Norton’s series of children’s fantasy novels The Borrowers, “14-year-old Arrietty and the rest of the Clock family live in peaceful anonymity as they make their own home from items “borrowed” from the house’s human inhabitants. However, life changes for the Clocks when a human boy discovers Arrietty.” I am more interested in seeing this film then Ponyo, though my view of Ponyo was probably hampered by the re-write of the script for American audiences. Thank Christ I was able to see Princess Mononoke with the original dialogue and in the original language. Japanese DVDs for Studio Ghlibi releases are a most. Check out The Borrowers movie trailer below. The Borrower Arrietty will be released in July 17, 2010. No word when it will be released in the US.
