The Complete Works Ep. 1: Nicolas Cage – BEST OF TIMES (1981)

The Complete Works is an in-depth, introspective, and, quite frankly, insane idea – FilmBook contributor Mike Smith and his co-host Mike DeCriscio are going to take a look at every film in the filmography of Nicolas Cage, one crazy screaming scene at a time. This week, Mike and Mike discuss Nicolas Cage’s film debut, a 1981 TV pilot that never made it to series entitled Best of Times.

Nicolas Cage (credited as Nicolas Coppola) plays Nicolas, alongside Crispin Glover, Jackie Mason, Julie Piekarski, Jill Schoelin, Kevin Cortes, David Rambo, Janet Robin, and Lisa Hope Ross. Best of Times was directed by Don Mischer and written by Bob Arnott, Carol Hatfield Sarasohn, and Lane Sarasohn.
