THE FLASH (2014): More Scripts Ordered Ahead of Premiere

CW The Flash

The CW Orders More Scripts for The Flash. The CW seems to be so confident in their newest show The Flash that they already ordered three more scripts for the series freshman season. The show hasn’t premiered yet but it seems to be getting enough buzz to get a full season.

The Flash has been responding positively with fans and critics alike, so its no wonder The CW may clearly have another hit on their hands. Deadline first reported that two of their new shows, The Flash and Jane the Virgin, has impressed the CW executives so much that they have ordered three additional scripts which can likely give a 22-episode order if the shows do well. Just remember that this isn’t an episode order but only scripts for future episodes. But that doesn’t mean that the show doesn’t have a chance to get a full season pickup.

Deadline gave word that, “Giving any type of order to new broadcast series several weeks before their debut is unusual and comes after both The Flash and Jane had delivered a couple of more episodes, with the CW executives said to be very pleased with that they have seen. The CW brass like having the network’s new fall series prepared for a possible back order with pickups of additional scripts early on.”

So in other words, these additional scripts being ordered is unusual but a good sign that the network has enough confidence that the show will be a success.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, John Wesley Shipp, Patrick Sabongui, Robbie Amell, William Sadler, Wentworth Miller, Kelly Frye, Clancy Brown, and Greg Finley.
