Jon Favreau‘s The Lion King (2019) teaser trailer stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, and John Oliver. The Lion King‘s plot synopsis: “From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock.”

A young lion prince is cast out of his pride by his cruel uncle, who claims he killed his father. While the uncle rules with an iron paw, the prince grows up beyond the Savannah, living by a philosophy: No worries for the rest of your days. But when his past comes to haunt him, the young prince must decide his fate: Will he remain an outcast or face his demons and become what he needs to be?

The Lion King also stars Keegan-Michael Key, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, James Earl Jones, Alfre Woodard, John Kani, Eric Andre, JD McCrary, and Shahadi Wright Joseph.
