Quibi to Stream Celebrity-Filled at Home Remake of ‘The Princess Bride’

The Princess Bride remake will stream on Quibi and was filmed by actors at home while they’ve been quarantining.

The cast of The Princess Bride remake includes an all star lineup including: Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, Tiffany Haddish, Common, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, Elijah Wood, Jon Hamm, Annabelle Wallis, Beanie Feldstein, Lucas Hedges, Jenna Ortega, Jack Black, David Oyelowo, Keegan-Michael Key, Patton Oswalt, Josh Gad, Andy Serkis, Diego Luna, Taiki Waititi, Zazi Beetz and much more!

The original film was released in 1987 and now comes an at home remake 33 years later. The remake was directed by Jason Reitman (Ghostbusters: After life) who had come up with the original concept of the at-home remake to help raise funds for the World Central Kitchen charity, wanting to do something of value while having to stay at home. He reached out to several actors and it just snowballed from there. When Reitman presented the idea to Quibi’s Jeffrey Katzenberg, Katzenberg loved the idea and made $1 million dollar donation to the cause. Vanity Fair shared 3 very amusing clips exclusively to give everyone at home a taste of what’s to come from the series.

Beginning this Monday, Quibi will stream the film chapter by chapter for two weeks.
