THE PUNISHER: Jon Bernthal Open to Doing A Solo Series [Netflix]

Jon Bernthal Willing to do a Punisher Series for Netflix. Despite no plans in place for a solo Punisher series on Netflix, Jon Bernthal seems to be open to the idea if it ever comes into fruition. The possibility of a Punisher series may be slim, but at least Jon would be willing to do it.

Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb pretty much denied of any plans for a solo Punisher series for the streaming service, but that hasn’t stopped Jon Bernthal from wanting to be in the potential series. Speaking with Empire Magazine, Bernthal feels connected with his character and loves to portray him again. “We’re the last to know about these things,” said Bernthal on the chances of getting a Punisher series.  He added, “But this guy is burned into my heart and soul. I think about him all the time. And I look at it the same way Frank would look at it. I’m a soldier, man. If they call on me, I’ll stand to attention, and I’ll be ready.”

Hopefully the positive buzz for the Punisher on Daredevil will prompt Marvel to greenlight a series for the lone vigilante. Do you guys think Punisher deserves his own series?
