Stephan Zlotescu‘s True Skin (2012) short film teaser trailer is about Bangkok, Thailand in the future where mechanical replacement limbs, colorful physical augments, robots automatons, and metal service bots roam around and are part of society. From the way they are presented, they have been apart of society for some time. The question about them is, how do the middle and lower classes afford them? A robotic arm with full functionality must cost a small fortune and health insurance providers have never been known to be generous.

This could be a good cross between Enter the Void, Blade Runner, and the book The Repossession Mambo.
