TV Casting: GOTHAM, SENSE8, Brandon Routh & Devon Aoki in ARROW

Brandon Routh…has joined the cast of the CW’s superhero drama Arrow as this season’s main recurring guest star. He will play Ray Palmer, a scientist and inventor who will play an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak as the new owner of Queen Consolidated.In the DC Comics mythology, Palmer is known as The Atom…We hear the deal will span 14 episodes, and that he will be a love interest for Felicity.

Devon Aoki has landed a major recurring guest role on the hit CW drama Arrow from Warner Bros TV. Aoki will play Tatsu Yamashiro, a character that first appeared in the Green Arrow origin series graphic novels published by DC Comics. She is a Japanese martial arts expert who wields a deadly sword, a blade from which her codename Katana is derived. In Arrow, Tatsu will be one of Oliver’s mentors in the flashbacks and a critical influence on his journey to eventually become The Arrow of present day.

Masters of Sex (Showtime)

Marin Ireland (Homeland) has been tapped as a recurring on the second season of Showtime’s Masters Of Sex...Ireland will play Pauline, the wife of Frank (played by recently announced guest star Christian Borle). The couple comes to town seeking Masters’ help in conceiving a child.

Grace And Frankie (Netflix)

Sam Waterston has landed a role in Grace And Frankie, the upcoming Netflix comedy starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. The series revolves around longtime nemeses Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin), whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands announce they are in love with each other and plan to get married. Waterston will play Frankie’s husband, who has been keeping his secret from her for 20 years.

Sense8 (Netflix)

Ness Bautista has booked a recurring role on Sense8, Netflix‘s 10-episode sci-fi drama series from the Wachowskis and J. Michael Straczynski.

Once Upon A Time (ABC)

Georgina Haig (Fringe) has been tapped to play the coveted Frozen character Elsa in Season 4 of ABC’s fantasy drama Once Upon A Time. Elsa was introduced in the Season 3 finale and is expected to appear in the premiere episode this fall. She will play opposite Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster, who will play Elsa’s younger sister Anna and Anna’s love interest Kristoff, in the heavily recurring role.

Gotham (Fox)

Kyle Massey has booked a recurring role on Fox’s Batman prequel Gotham…Massey…will play Macky, an abused and neglected kid who lives on the streets.

Impastor (TV Land)

Sara Rue is set to star opposite Michael Rosenbaum in TV Land’s single-camera comedy pilot Impastor…Rue will portray Dora, a local gossip and assistant to the pastor who also is in charge of the Lutheran Church’s Selection Committee — responsible for bringing him to town in the first place.

Criminal Minds (CBS)

Jennifer Love Hewitt is returning to CBS as a series regular — this time among the cast of Criminal Minds. She will play seasoned undercover agent Katie Callahan – joining Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, AJ Cook and Kirsten Vangsness; her character will be introduced in the series’ 10th season premiere, Wednesday, October 1.

Bessie (HBO)

Oliver Platt (X-Men: First Class, Fargo, Chef), Bryan Greenberg (Friends With Benefits, How To Make It In America) and Tory Kittles (True Detective, Olympus Has Fallen) have joined the cast of Bessie, HBO’s film about iconic blues singer Bessie Smith (Queen Latifah)…Platt will play famed photographer and writer Carl Van Vechten, Greenberg will play renowned record producer and music critic John Hammond, and Kittles will play Bessie’s brother Clarence.
