TV Casting: HANNIBAL, TURN, Mandy Moore in RED BAND SOCIETY

Hannibal, Turn, Read Band Society, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on NBC, AMC, and Fox.

Hannibal (NBC)

When NBC’s Hannibal returns in 2015 Gillian Anderson will be a series regular playing Bedelia du Maurier.

The season 3 opener will pick up one year after Hannibal and Bedelia were seen jetting off to Europe, and feel like “a pilot for a new series starring Mads Mikkelsen and Gillian Anderson,” said executive producer Bryan Fuller.

Nashville (ABC)

Mykelti Williamson will show his little-known music talents in a recurring role on the upcoming third season of ABC’s country music drama Nashville. [He]…will play Terry, a brilliant musician who, after suffering a terrible personal tragedy, lives as a nomad on the streets of Nashville. When his talent finally is uncovered, he works hard to reclaim the self-sufficiency he lost years ago. Williamson will sing on the show, in what is expected to be a four-episode arc.

Hawaii Five-O (BCS)

Greg Ellis has been tapped for a multi-episode arc on Season 5 of CBS’ Hawaii Five-O. Ellis will play an antique book shop owner who Jerry (Jorge Garcia) believes is running a major counterfeiting money operation on O’ahu.

Red Band Society (Fox)

Andrea Parker has booked a recurring role on Fox’s coming-of age-drama series Red Band Society, from ABC Studios and Amblin TV…Parker will play Sarah, the mother of Kara Sounders (Zoe Levin), a wealthy, driven, dedicated and fashionable woman who has connections and usually gets what she wants. She is the “alpha dog” in her lesbian relationship and is hellbent on finding a way to move her daughter up the organ-donation list to receive a new heart.

Singer-actress Mandy Moore has booked a major recurring guest role on Red Band Society…Moore (Saved, A Walk to Remember, Grey’s Anatomy) will play Erin Grace, the chief of staff at Ocean Park Hospital, who also is Dr. McAndrew’s (Dave Annable) ex-fiancee.

Turn (AMC)

Owain Yeoman has joined the second-season cast of AMC‘s Revolutionary War drama Turn. Written by Craig Silverstein, based on the book Washington’s Spies and directed by Rupert Wyatt…Yeoman will play Benedict Arnold, the American Continental Army General who defected to the British side.

Second World War TV miniseries

Bollywood star Irrfan Khan has boarded the Second World War TV miniseries

Khan will star in the TV drama…based on a decade-long investigation into events in the Pacific during and after WWII…will be directed by Canadian Michael McGowan (Still Mine) and Dutch helmer Pieter Verhoeff.
