Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey have been cast in the pilot for The Walking Dead companion series at AMC, created by Robert Kirkman…Adam Davidson will direct.

The untitled Walking Dead spinoff, aka Cobalt, takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on The Walking Dead but in a different location. It revolves around a male divorced teacher and a female guidance counselor. Dillane (Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince) plays the woman’s son, who has battled a drug problem. Aussie Debnam Carey…plays the woman’s ambitious daughter.

Last On Earth (Fox)

January Jones, Mel Rodriguez (Getting On), Kristen Schaal (Flight of the Conchords) and Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up Revolution) have joined creator/star Will Forte in the cast of his midseason single-camera comedy series for Fox Last On Earth…pilot episode will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, chronicles the life and adventures of an average guy (Forte) – and humanity’s last hope – who discovers what life is like when no one is telling you what you can and cannot do.

Jones…will play the beautiful, intellectual and athletic Melissa, a Midwestern girl-next-door with a good sense of humor and a devotion to her hometown professional sports team who developed her strong independent spirit growing up with three older brothers. Rodriguez will play the always optimistic Todd. Aussie Coleman will play Erica, a first-year med student. Schaal…plays Carol.
