Ms. Marvel

Iman Vellani has been cast as Kamala Khan, a “Pakistani-American teen and Muslim based in New Jersey…with shapeshifting abilities who discovers that she has Inhuman genes in the aftermath of the “Inhumanity” storyline and assumes the mantle of Ms. Marvel from her idol Carol Danvers after Danvers becomes Captain Marvel.”

Bisha K. Ali will write the screenplays for the Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon-directed TV series.

Batwoman

Alex Morf has been cast as Victor Zsasz, “a charismatic, skilled hitman with high, unpredictable energy. He proudly carves tally marks onto his skin for every victim he kills.”

Leah Gibson has been cast as Tatiana / The Whisper, “a skilled assassin, unflappable and cold as ice in the face of danger. She is one of Safiyah’s most important henchwomen and still harbors feelings for her powerful boss.”

Nathan Owens has been cast as Ocean, “a zen gardner and thinker with a complicated past. A loyal soldier and fighter, Ocean moves to Gotham looking for a new beginning.”

These actors join already cast Javicia Leslie.

Riverdale

Erinn Westbrook has been cast as Tabitha Tate, “the ambitious, entrepreneurial granddaughter of Pop Tate, who has come to Riverdale to take over Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe in the hopes of franchising the iconic diner, even as the town around it struggles to survive.”

Drew Ray Tanner has been upped to a series regular.

Legacies

Ben Levin and Leo Howard have been upped to a series regular.

Sweet Tooth

Stefania LaVie Owen has been cast as Bear, “a teenage, dystopic activist who’s the leader of the Animal Army. Her army of teens leads a moral crusade, fighting against the humans that lead to society’s collapse while protecting all Hybrids.”

This actor joins already cast: Neil Sandilands, Dania Ramirez, Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Will Forte, and James Brolin.

Sweet Tooth‘s plot synopsis: based on the DC comic book series, “The eight-episode Sweet Tooth follows the adventures of Gus (Convery) — part deer, part boy — who leaves his home in the forest to find the outside world ravaged by a cataclysmic event. He joins a ragtag family of humans and animal-children hybrids like himself in search of answers about this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins.”

Jim Mickle and Beth Schwartz are writing the screenplays for the Mickle-directed TV series.

Locke and Key

Brendan Hines has been cast as Josh Bennett, “a charismatic and mysterious new history teacher at Matheson Academy with a secret agenda.”

Liyou Abere has been cast as Amie Bennett, “a spirited 11-year-old who becomes fast friends with Bode and an ally against the evil forces threatening the Lockes.”

Aaron Ashmore and Hallea Jones have been upped to a series regular.

Lost in Space

Russell Hornsby has been cast in an unspecified role.

NCIS: New Orleans

Chelsea Field has been upped to a series regular.

9-1-1: Lone Star

Lisa Edelstein has been cast as Gwyneth, “the ex-wife of Capt. Owen Strand (Lowe) and mother to their adult son T.K. (Rubinstein), who is a firefighter in the house Owen is captain of. A lawyer, Gwyneth visits Austin from NYC to be with T.K. after he was shot and hospitalized at the end of last season.”

Rebel

Kevin Zegers has been cast as Nate, “Rebel’s eldest son. A doctor who balks at getting involved in her wars, and takes a certain karmic pleasure in disappointing her — because his childhood was one long disappointment.”

Sam Palladio has been cast as Luke, “a hot young lawyer, a junior associate with the firm headed by Rebel’s ex-husband, Benji. With a charm that belies the shark under the surface, Luke enjoys defending the firm’s roster of corporate clients.”

These actors join already cast Katey Sagal.

Rebel‘s plot synopsis: the show “centers on Annie “Rebel” Bello (Sagal). She is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree — a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.”

Krista Vernoff wrote the screenplay for the Tara Nicole Weyr-directed pilot episode.
