TV Review: Dollhouse Season 1, Ep. 13: Epitaph One

Dollhouse Season 1, Ep. 13: Epitaph One took a turn that probably no one saw coming. I did not. Apocalypse. People wireless downloading into other peoples’ bodies, body snatching. The search for immortality complete and the world in chaos because of it. The flash back with Topher Brink was great as we got to see his  introduction to the Dollhouse and renovation of the upload process. It was also interesting seeing footage from the original, unaired Dollhouse pilot used in the episode. It sucks what happened to Whiskey though. I wish they had done something better with her character instead of insanity.  She was far more interesting in black leather and oh-so-slightly sociopathic. The same goes for Topher, though I can see why he had become unhinged. He just could not handle what he had brought into the world. I always thought his high-powered mind was sturdier than that though. I wish he had tried to reverse what was happening instead of cracking from the realization that he had brought about an Imprint Apocalypse. It will be interesting to see how this is handled in Dollhouse Season 2, especially since this episode never aired on television.
