Nomadland Review

Nomadland (2020) Video Movie Review, a Searchlight Pictures movie written and directed by Chloé Zhao and stars Frances McDormand, David Strathairn, Bob Wells, Linda May, Swankie, Karie Lynn McDermott Wilder, Rachel Bannon, Annette Webb, Makenzie Etcheverry, and Brandy Wilber.

In this video review, I talk about the new drama film Nomadland. Frances McDormand does an incredible job with the main character, Fern. However, it’s all of the non-actors surrounding her that have the real stand out performances.  Chloé Zhao did an amazing job creating such an emotionally immersive film. Check out all of my thoughts in the video movie review below.

Nomadland Synopsis

Nomadland‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Jessica Bruder, “Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, NOMADLAND features real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.”
