VIKINGS: Season 4, Episode 8: Portage Trailer [History]

Travis Fimmel Peter Franzen Katheryn Winnick Vikings Portage

Vikings Portage Trailer. History‘s Vikings Season 4, Episode 8: Portage TV Show Trailer stars Travis Fimmel, Clive Standen, Gustaf Skarsgård, Katheryn Winnick, Alyssa Sutherland and Alexander Ludwig with guest stars Linus Roache and Amy Bailey. The world seems askew as Ragnar (Fimmel) faces dissension among the ranks of his fleet while Rollo (Standen) discusses battle plans over a feast. Rollo and Paris brace for Ragnar’s next move.

Is the title a spoiler or a metaphor? The meaning of “portage” is to carry, specifically the act of carrying boats over land to avoid obstacles in the water. We know Ragnar is creative enough to employ this device against Rollo’s defenses. You can already see wheels turning in Ragnar’s head. That is, if he can get his head on straight.

In Portage, the other Viking leaders blame Ragnar for their devastating defeat. Finehair (Peter Franzen) is circling, likely seeing an opportunity to weaken Ragnar’s reign. Ragnar does not look like he is cowering in a tent. He looks crazed and driven much like someone else who was scorned.

The war for Mercia may have seemed over before it began, but there is still some unfinished business. Kwenthrith (Bailey) learns that King Ecbert (Roache) is not her ally, but rather her usurper. No one wants to be on the receiving end of Kwenthrith’s wrath. Source: History Channel. Check out the trailer for Portage:
