Taylor Sheridan‘s Wind River (2017) movie trailer stars Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Graham Greene, Gil Birmingham, Julia Jones, and Jon Bernthal. Wind River‘s plot synopsis: “WIND RIVER is a chilling thriller that follows a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) who teams up with a local game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) to investigate the murder of a local girl on a remote Native American Reservation in the hopes of solving her mysterious death.”

Wind River looks like a very intense crime drama set in a desolate location, which happens to be snow covered Wyoming. There are echoes of Fargo and The Killing in this trailer but they are few and far between. What is clear and blatant is that FBI Special Agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) bit off far more than she could chew with where he investigation takes her. Don’t FBI agents work in team instead of solo units? Regardless, this trailer seems to herald a good crime drama.
