Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Meet the New Boss Trailer & Clip

The TV show trailer & clip, for ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: ‘Meet the New Boss’ stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Henry Simmons. Guest stars include Jason O’Mara, Gabriel Luna, Briana Venskus, Nico David, John Churchill, Adrian Quinonez, Jen Kuo Sung, Daniel Zacapa, Lilli Birdsell, Dan Donohue, Ward Roberts, Usman Ally, Deren Tadlock, and Mark Daneri.

Both the trailer & clip, to ‘Meet the New Boss,’ keep the focus on Quake (Chloe Bennet) vs Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna), even as the title suggests something else.

The official ‘Meet the New Boss’ plot summary:

Daisy goes to battle Ghost Rider at a terrible cost, and Coulson faces the new Director, and his bold agenda surprises them all.

Personally, after his being set up as something of giant head, projected unto a big curtain, I’d be more interested in seeing the Agency’s new Great & Terrible Director in the flesh. The fact that we haven’t even seen that giant head helps. If toothy promo pics (like the one for this article) are any indication, it looks like our new authority figure will be playing the Cool Boss card. That, or the passive aggressive one… I think it’s safe to say that the meeting – of the new boss (Jason O’Mara), by the old boss (Clark Gregg) – will at least be diplomatically cordial.

Not that diplomacy always works, mind you. Teeth aren’t just for smiling with, after all.

As for Daisy’s dance with Robbie Reyes, the clip shows Daisy catching Robbie at work (the semi-public setting serving as fire suppressant), and being quite pokey about it. While there is a certain Spider-Man logic to her needling, I imagine getting Robbie to paraphrase Bill Bixby‘s famous TV Hulk line wasn’t what she was going for.

‘Meet the New Boss’ airs Tuesday, Sep. 27, at 10:00pm EST, on ABC.
